The shotgun equivalent for Eliminate Pro, firing 4 plasma rounds in one shot rather than a traditional shotgun shell.
It is fairly common in lower levels because it is the first weapon to be unlocked and is quite cheap compared to other weapons. It is quite easy to use in the beginning as players do not move much and so you can get in close quite fast. Although landing all 4 shots can deal significant damage, chances are you will rarely get that chance and so it's minimal damage otherwise makes it too weak to use in higher level play and it is surpassed by the Dual Cannon series.
As shotguns come, it's power lies in close quarters combat so you are able to land all 4 plasma rounds onto a player. The nodes spread greatly over distance so you will need to close the distance between you and your target fast to use the Plasma Cannon effectively. It is possible to hit players over a distance, but don't count on it and if you'd like to try it might be better to aim off your target. Fast armors such as the Infiltrator are generally recommended to rush players and get a good shot in.
The Sprinter Mod and Acceleration powerup are very helpful in chasing or getting close to opponents but the Damage Amplifier can also compensate for the low damage. This gun is not recommended over others available, but if you want to use it, the Dual Cannon series are a better choice for the higher damage and rate of fire.
Please note that it's ammo comes as nodes and each extra node added is the equivalent of 3 shots.

Only recommended for use in lower levels and for armors such as the Infiltrator for the speed addition.
As a shotgun, you will need to get up close to a player to deal any significant damage so acceleration powerups will be in your favor. The Cloaking field can also be helpful to sneak up on players and unload a full shot into them which is very devestating despite the low damage.
Rushing is the general tactic for this gun along with the Dual Cannon series but do not forget to weave in your path to dodge attacks on you.
Close quarters combat can be quite difficult, so practice is a good idea to get your aiming on target and maximize the amount of shots unloaded per round.
